In the auditorium of the Banco de la República in Manizales, wood becomes a fundamental element in building a spatial experience that combines elegance, comfort and architectural quality. The project involved the installation of architectural walls and ceilings using the Plain Decorative Panel and RP16 systems, with a careful selection of Alpi African Beech, Quarter-cut Flormorado and Alpi Quarter-cut Walnut finishes.
The combination of these species created a visual concept rich in nuances, where warm tones and natural textures bring depth, sophistication and a unique identity to the space. Integrating wall and ceiling cladding creates a continuous architectural reading that reinforces the perception of quality and permanence, essential traits in high-level institutional projects.
This project shows how architectural wood cladding, decorative panels for auditoriums, architectural ceilings and high-performance interior finishes can transform cultural and institutional spaces into memorable environments, where materiality and design enrich the user experience.
